Hi. I’m Josh Fruhlinger.

I am a freelance writer, editor, and blogger. I live in Baltimore, Maryland, with my lovely wife Amber and my cat Hoagie. This blog is a central source of information about all my various projects; I also use it as a personal blog to boot.

What are all these fascinating projects in which I am involved?

  • I have become pretend Internet famous for writing the Comics Curmudgeon, where I mock, appreciate, comment on, and willfully misinterpret newspaper comic strips.
  • This led, naturally enough, to a gig writing about political cartoons for Wonkette. I’ve also filled in occasionally with other blogging duties at that site.
  • Before I was a famous blogger, I was toiling behind the scenes at several tech Web sites in various editorial capacities, and I continue to this very day. Read my resume if you’re interested in the gory details, or if you’re interested in hiring me on a freelance basis.
  • Lately I’ve started writing and blogging for some of my tech clients as well. I write Inside the Cult, which is about Apple’s computers, phones, and other gizmos, and Java to Go, which is about the Java programming language and associated technologies, platforms, and marketing fluff.
  • Despite all that tech blogging, I should emphasize that I am not the same Joshua Fruhlinger who is the editorial director for Endgadget and other Weblogs, Inc., blogs. You can read his blog if you’re interested. Yes, it’s confusing.

If any or all of these items titillate and intrigue and you’d like to pay me to write, edit, or otherwise be awesome for you, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me. You can also follow me on Facebook and Twitter, if that’s what does it for you.
